Meet Yayo Rackz

Yayo Rackz is a musical storyteller from North Memphis, near Woodlawn Street and the vibrant Scutterfeld community. His music shines a light on the triumphs and trials of these streets, reflecting a blend of Street Poetry, Blues Fusion, Trap Resilience, and Underground Vibes.

Starting his musical journey at age 9 with his brothers, Yayo was deeply influenced by both the local church and the dynamic North Memphis scene. In 1999, he launched his career as a producer and artist, founding Homemade Records in 2003 to support local talent. Co-founding MGG Music in 2004 with his brothers, he further elevated Memphis's sound. His debut mixtape, "Hood Chronicles," in 2013, marked a pivotal moment in his career. Now working on "Hustler's Anthem," Yayo's music continues to celebrate the spirit of Memphis, combining raw street narratives with emotional depth and resilience.
